If you were to ask most any person under the age of 25 if they did any blogging, I am sure most of them would say yes and I doubt very many if any at all would say “what is blogging?” This is also not a gender or generation thing either. Here I am approaching 50 and I have a personal blog for my art gallery and set up blogs for web sites I have made. Due to the ever growing popularity of Blogs, I felt the need to have a place to save the many ideas and interpretations I have on Christianity. Since there are many people and religions that believe in a god but don’t have a relationship with GOD. (The first god is not in all capitols because it is not the god of the universe, while the second one is)
By now you probably have assumed that I am some over zealous Christian that has a place to spout off his beliefs. And to some degree you are correct, and you may also have missed the mark totally. I sure do wish I was so over zealous for God that you could look at from ten feet away and say to yourself “now there’s a man after Gods heart”.
There are actually very few Christians that you can tell from ten feet away that they are on fire for God, and I am not sure I have actually ever seen one. Most are probably much like myself and carry around a small to medium size torch that we keep hidden most of the time. Why on earth do you think God instructed us about the whole burning bush thing? It was because He wanted to make a point about how important it is that we shine bright. Have you ever realized that darkness is the absence of light, and if its dark in the world or in an area of your life, its because there is none of Gods light in there.
We as Christians get so upset that the internet, media, and especially TV shows and movies are so full of darkness and filth. We have no one to blame but ourself. Satan’s people have no problems giving him their money. But when that collection plate goes around in most churches, a large percentage of the people will put in what they can spare if they put in anything at all. And then after church go home turn on the TV and complain about the crap that is on it.
So this blog will be a mix of my rants and raves and thanks to God for all he has done and has yet to do. Of course you can sign up and respond. All of us that really love God should have a voice somewhere… for now mine is here in the Blog for God.
